Seven Hills Motorcars is glad to offer this numbers matching 1976 Corvette Stingray in great driver condition with only 93,371 original miles. The car runs and drives amazingly as one can see in the video in this ad. The car is totally solid with nice lines. This Corvette has had most of its drivetrain refreshed and is ready to go anywhere. This Vette is finished in the beautiful combination of Corvette Red (72) over Dark Firethorn (712). This is the correct and original color scheme as shown on the trim tag pictured above. This would be an excellent opportunity to own a classic corvette that is ready to be used and enjoyed.
It is loaded with appealing options as one can see in the extensive list of RPO codes in this ad such as the tilt wheel, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and power windows. The low original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title, pictured in this ad, showing the mileage as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, video, list of RPO codes, and other information to get a true sense of this Corvette.
Please note that this corvette is “numbers matching” meaning the engine is the correct and original unit that was installed in the car new at the factory in July of 1976. The last six digits of the VIN, 441424, are stamped on the engine pad, meaning it is the original engine to the car.
As a side note, this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle. Our Corvettes come from owners who expect their car to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Corvette, just give us a call.
Exterior
The corvette red exterior is in good driver condition. As one can see in the photos the finish has a nice gloss/good finish. Both doors open and shut nicely. The original rally wheels look great along with the trim rings/center caps. The General tires are only a few years old and in great shape with about 95% tread left. The paint isn't perfect and has imperfections here and there but looks great from about 5-10 feet away. The car basically looks in person as it does in the photos. As one can see in the many photos of the underside of the car, it is very clean underneath. The frame is totally solid with no rust around the "key hole" area in front of the rear tire. We have included specific photos of the areas most prone to rust to show how nice this car looks.
Window Date Codes
Please note that almost all of the glass on this Corvette is date coded and original as most pieces predate the car's body build date of July 7th, 1976 (L07). Original glass is a good indication that this car has had no major accident history and never sustained significant damage.

Interior
The Dark Firethorn interior in this Corvette is in good condition. The seats are in great shape for their age with no major wear/tears or staining. The dash and center console look great with no sun fading/cracks. The gauge faces are clean and the lenses are clear. The door panels are in good shape and both door pulls are solid and intact. Most importantly, the dash has never been modified or cut for any aftermarket install. The carpet is in great condition with no major stains, rips, holes. The rear carpet shows its age a bit compared to the front carpet. The jack and jack handle are still with the car, stored correctly behind the passenger seat. The interior in this vette appears to be mostly original, even the factory radio works and sounds great.
Corvette interiors from this era are not known to wear well and the great overall condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this car has received throughout its life.
Mechanical
This Corvette seems to be in very good mechanical condition. The car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smoothly. It drives amazing on the road and at highway speeds. It appears the previous owner spent time refreshing the car mechanically to help keep this vette on the road for many years to come. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The transmission shifts very smooth throughout the power band. The brakes are responsive and don't pull left or right. This Corvette has plenty of power and is quite fast for its time. Also, the engine compartment is clean and detailed as one can see in the photos.
The radio works as do the exterior lights, dash lights, indicators, wipers, horn, power windows, and even the key buzzer. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all speeds. The A/C compressor can be seen engaging in the video above. The vacuum system for the headlights works correctly. Also, the headlights go up correctly with either the headlight switch or vacuum override switch. Their complete operation from both switches can be viewed in the video. All of the gauges work with the obvious exception of the clock. It is a pleasure to drive this Stingray, especially with the T-tops out on a beautiful day.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1976 Corvette Stingray is an amazing driver. The prices of C3 Corvettes have increased considerably over the past several years. They are secure and wise investments for the future. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years without the worry of getting a new rock chip here and there. A nice paint job would bring this car to a whole different level, but it still looks great going down the road as is. This corvette runs and drives very nice and I wouldn't hesitate to take it anywhere.
Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call with any questions.
